Be-Bob-Showaddy

It was with eager anticipation that we decamped from the Golden View Rest and headed up the other mountain to stay at our next home, the entertainingly named "Beebopbeedoobi" guest house.  It's waay up in the hills and it took a tuk-tuk a good twenty minutes to climb the meandering trail without the aid of oxygen tanks.

The view is highly impressive (photos to come at some point) but one is completely isolated and the only way up or down is via the thieving ricky drivers.  Not a good situation for me.

Anyaway. we were warmly greeted by Gengis Khan and Mrs Khan (or Chris and his wifey) who showed us to our room, a charming, clean and cosy little affair that would do nicely for the next couple of nights.  We chatted, they introduced us to their dogs, all five or more, of them and we settled in.

At around midnight the dogs kicked off and for the next four hours it was non-stop braying as the canine Mafia conducted their business around the neighbourhood.  Also, despite the heights, the room turned into a sweat box as they neither A/C or a fan.

The next morning we advised them of our concerns to be faced with a blank expression.  "The dogs were noisy?  We never hear them as we sleep downstairs".

Well, unless you want to swap bedrooms, we're off. which is what we did.  Straight back to the Golden View Rest and our old room.

Utterly intolerable and hard to imagine how anyone can sleep around the area.
