That's More Like It

We found this rather pleasant Chinese diner and while we checking out the dishes, noticed they served Gold Medal beer.  Purely in the interests of the Blog, we had to try a couple as we feel quoting Asahi is unfair- it's always going to be expensive in a Japanese noodle bar.

A fair decision for not only was a bottle cheaper, we also got twice the volume.  NT$ 100 for a 660 ml bottle?  All right then.

Unfortunately, they didn't have many bottles in the fridge and having polished off the Gold Medal, we sampled another brew.  This time we had no idea what it was as the label was entirely in characters and the only words we could make out were "Taiwan Beer".  It wasn't bad either.

Anyway, the ktelontour Beer Guide has now been duly amended to allow Taiwan to gain promotion out of the Abandonship to the Championship, where it now resides at an OK-ish £1.75 a pint.
