Nationwide's FlexAccount holders (as we have been since we departed the UK back in 2006) now face charges of 2% for all foreign transaction worldwide, plus a further £1 every time you use the card to withdraw cash from an ATM.
Luckily we now have a Thai bank account but we'll be heading through Europe again next year and that is going to add up. Maybe it's time to get one of those pre-paid top up cards in Euros?
