The Thais have a delightful phrase that translates to "serves you right" which is used in a light hearted manner amongst friends. They say "som nom nah", which is exactly what a Western busker was singing along to as he strummed his guitar on the Sky Bridge in town.
The locals must have loved it- his case was filling rapidly.
