Comparing items we have bought in Bangkok to prices here (bearing in mind the NT$ and the Baht are almost identical in value to the pound at around 48 or so) is easy; just read Baht to dollar and you'll have an exact idea.
Which is why we know it's is far more expensive for some goods, such as Levis, adidas, The North Face and so on. Sometimes as much as twice as much.
I think we'll leave the shopping until next week when we get back home or wait until we visit the infamous night market after the weekend. By all accounts, everything can be found here, legit or not and the prices are much more realistic.
