You've Sunk My Battleship

Should you fancy starting your own armada, the former Navy flagship HMS Ark Royal is up for sale on a on-line auction website.

After 25 years in service playing important roles in in the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the Bosnia conflict, the Ark Royal was decommissioned as part of the government's defence budget review, and while there were a series of proposals about what could be done with it, with ideas ranging from it becoming a commercial heliport, nightclub or even a school, it could now be sold.

The famous ship has been listed on edisposals.com, a website run by the MoD's Defence Equipment and Support arm which works a bit like eBay, but where bidders have to submit their "intentions regarding the vessel" along with their offer.

And given the aircraft carrier weighs a whopping 22 000 tonnes, you might want to factor in postage costs before making a bid.
