It doesn't take long to shimmy up a chair, prise off the spot light moulding cover and unscrew the long-life light bulb.
The result is no more 5 seconds of light burst on opening our door which is nice for someone wanting to sleep while the other can now come and go without feeling guilty.
And we've sorted the shower problem out too. We're just going to take a bath instead. Yes, it's frightfully wasteful but the hotel should consider people of all sizes when fixing the shower heads- or just fit a riser bar.
Anyway, it's not often we get the chance to take a bath, so we'll make the most of it. And the shower is workable if you hold it or use it on less than full power, the water then just kind of falls down instead of blasting against the wall.
