Having woken up naturally, as opposed to a poor Karen Carpenter-sound-a-like warbling up the corridors, it was still early but allowed me to sneak in the washing before the rest of the guests were even stirring. Breakfast kicked off at 07:00 (until 10:00) and so I took a wander down. Like the rest of the hotel, very impressive.
I haven't had any decent cheese or salami in weeks and the toast choice was wide, with both sliced bread and multiple roll options. An array of local foods (noodles, rice, stir-fried vegetables, porridge) and western bits (has browns, scrambled eggs, frankfurter sausages) gives a full spread, plus cereals, yoghurts and fresh fruits to further tempt you. Milk, orange and apple juices are present and of course, coffee and half a dozen or so teas.
This could become a regular custom over the next week.
