As you'll be aware, I don;t like taxi drivers. Anywhere.
Even the nice ones.
So it's with pleasure that we can look forward to an alternative route into Suvarnabhumi Airport, which we visit in a very regular basis. According to the blurb, it runs every 15 minutes, will no doubt cost us THB 45 and will probably take around 30 minutes to reach if we get on at Phaya Thai station.
As we usually travel with just hand luggage, the trip should be easy enough and will also allow us to see more of the city as head further eastwards form the centre. And we won't have to use a cab. We'll update you on how we get on as I think we'll give it a go next week.
Yes, I know we also have the mini bus option and at THB 20 all in and 45 minutes travel time it is no doubt better, but we don't have to worry about traffic jams, the bus not showing (we have no idea about running times) and we've got to try the train at some time as we can get it back to the city.
