Just heard from Dave the b-i-l that their Indian visas and passports have finally turned up- five weeks after they were applied for. As he points out, aren't the Indians supposedly "shit hot in IT"? It would appear not and of course chasing up any kind of details is charged at a pound a minute on premium phone lines. Still, at least they have arrived and we can all look forward to a big family meet up in a couple of week's time.
A question though- seeing as the visas begin on the date of application, can they get a refund for the time the passports were in transit? They've lost over a month of the three the visas is worth. Nah, didn't think so.
