Extending the Good News

Following wifey's second trip to the hospital, typically she was seen directly after I left, having waited at least an hour beforehand.  Here there is also some confusion as looking at the appointment card the time did say 13:30 but was crossed out and written by hand 13:00.  Maybe we should have stuck with the original?  It matters not, for after an hour's worth of meticulous testing, it's been confirmed which nerve has been damaged, the large one in her elbow, and that is causing the pain in her little finger.  Best guess to cause is perhaps landing on her elbow as well as her hand when she did her tarmac dive at Yangon airport.

An X-Ray was also taken for the consultant to have a look at on Sunday for our final visit and the doctor told her to carry on taking the anti-inflammatory tablets to sort out the nerve problem.  Together with the physio, which is now showing better improvements, wifey's left hand will soon be back to normal and pain free.

Super news as she has avoided surgery and will not need to keep her in traction which was the previous experience.

And the bill was quite reasonable too, considering the time spent with the doctor and the X-Ray.  Around THB 5 000, so about a hundred quid.
