Hurry Up

First-class stamps
The Queen's head is to remain on stamps regardless of who buys the post office after the government decided to amend its controversial privatisation legislation.  It said it was building in a new safeguard after listening to the views of members of both houses of parliament and raising the matter with Buckingham Palace.

The postal services bill, which receives its third reading in the Commons on Wednesday (12th), will be amended to give ministers the power to require an image of the Queen to appear on postage stamps.

I'm not bothered either way but I do hope the Royal Mail is sold off- hopefully the next owners will run it more professionally and stick to sending letters and parcels instead of diverging into other areas and allowing its core business to fall apart.
