The £165 000 Ghost
Rools-Royce have years ago.sold more cars last year than at any time since its takeover by BMW 7. They sold 2 711 cars last year compared with 1 002 the year before, an increase of 171%. Sales were driven by strong demand in America, Middle and Far East.
The previous record since BMW moved production from Crewe to Goodwood was 1 212 cars in 2008. Its latest model, the Ghost, made up about three quarters of sales.
Launched in April, it has a starting price of £165 000, compared with the £235 000 Phantom, and competes with the “Baby” Bentley.
