After a quite rubbish final day in India (and it would be very wrong to remember this beautiful place based on final memories) it was positively delightful to arrive at Colombo Airport.
It's modern, quiet, bright, airy and the Immigration crew are the friendliest I have ever met. Smiling, chatty, helpful- they even squeezed our visa stamp into the tiniest of places, it was a very warm welcome.
