It is far more expensive compared to recent trips such as Myanmar and the Philippines but having saved some money there, we can afford our week of luxury. In fact, it's not as bad as we initially feared and it will cost us about the same as we allow in Georgetown.
This may well become a regular trip in the years to come when we have to get out of Bangkok for a few weeks due to stingy visa allowances.
Here we don't need a visa at all and we are able to stay for up to three months without worry- again like Malaysia.
