The Thai Baht follows the New Taiwanese dollar almost like for like and so we were expecting an almost equal swap of currency when landing at Bhumi Airport and using the Bureau do Change. Yeah, right.
If we had done the deal we would have lost out on over sixty quid. Naturally one expects a lower rate but this really was taking the piss. One didn't even want our NT$ 100 notes, only the thousand bills.
We went back to our Chinese money dealer across the from the hotel and got a far, far better deal. :o)
