Pointless

Had Beckham signed on loan to Spurs for three months I could see some benefits.  Now they're saying:

"David will train with the club until 10th February when he will be required to return to LA Galaxy ahead of the start of the MLS season."

Followed by Redknapp saying any chance of his playing for the club as a "no-goer".

He then makes a full "U" turn by admitting he was wrong to write off the deal due to insurance issues:

"Hopefully it could happen.  [Talks] are still ongoing.  I don't know what the issues are... and I don't know the answer. I wish I knew.  It's sorted about above my head.  I don't think there's a problem with the insurance, I had that wrong."

Redknapp is now hoping he will be available for selection for a month.

Sorry, please stop this publicity circus and if he wants to train with the squad fine but that should be it- what use will one month be to anyone?
