On my walk down to the supermarket a Dibble bike took a short cut down what is usually only accessible to pedestrians. Now biggie there, nor that it was two up; many Plod bikes carry pillion. No, it was the passenger that was of interest- he was brandishing a HUGE knife (at least 35-40 cm in length) which looked like a massive commando knife. He had no sheath and wasn't in the slight bit fussed about who saw him with this weapon in his hand, instead he was concentrating on hanging onto the bike.
As I got to the car park, the bike and its rider were leaving and the knifed up copper was quite happy strolling around with the knife in full view. Clearly it wasn't standard issue (he was also armed with a holstered pistol) but I'd love to know the story behind that little jaunt. :o)
