There were plenty of empty ones and we weighed our bags at a couple. My luggage on one set of scales read 8.4 kg and then 7/8 kg on the next. That's a huge difference and shows how the airline scales are not only not calibrated but could end up costing you a fortune, despite being inside your limit.
