There are a number of football competitions run by the newspapers or television shows that allow a casual punter to become an imaginary manager to see how their team fares against other like minded fans. Some even offer big cash prizes but it takes a lot of commitment and dedication to ensure you send in your teams every week before the deadline. Miss on week and it could cost you dearly.
Which is why I shall be giving up the hot seat soon to give Dave a chance to send in his team of the week and hopefully pick up some valuable points. I have no idea how he's doing but I'm sure he's having fun anyway.
So there will be an intermission at some point while he puzzles over formations, tactics and transfers and I shall be on the veranda in the morning sun flicking through the latest copy of MCN which he kindly brought along with him.
PS: My only football fantasy is to hear the Redknapp is finally leaving Tottenham- preferably to become Team Eng-er-land's manager and for them not to qualify for anything. Shame that won't be happening any time soon.
