Hold On, I'm Coming

A German man could be charged with the misuse of emergency services after calling the fire brigade to rescue some beer he left on a train after it departed from the station without him.

The Bulls who unsurprisingly deduced he was drunk, said he smashed the emergency glass on a fire alarm at Kaiserslautern train station when he realised his train (and beloved beer) were leaving the platform.   The man and his pal had stepped off to have a cigarette.

What they hadn't counted on was the quick the turnaround and when they returned to the platform, they saw the train doors closed as it slowly pulled away.  In desperation, the guy smashed the protective glass around a fire alarm, prompting local fire fighters to rush to the scene.

To make matters worse, the gadgy was also left with an injured hand where he smashed the glass.

Oh dear, the powers of beer... :o)
