Live Music Then

Around seven-ish we heard the band tuning up next door and we asked if we could take our drinks through.  Not only was this fine, they insisted we have the best table in the house, directly in frnt of the band.

It's fair to say I thought the drummer was brilliant (he only had a bongo style drum, which was resting on his lap and could use with both left and right hand in a blur off whizzing fingers and palms) but the rest of the group, a chap on a synthesiser which he played with only one finger throughout and the lead singers- there were two who swapped after each song, one gadgy, one wifey, were definitely average.  They used so much echo I was surprised not to hear any ducks.  (Think about that one, it has some merit ;-))

Nonetheless, it really was a fun afternoon out and everyone was very friendly, hospitable and attentive, but no doubt wondering who the odd couple were.  Thanks guys, we had a super time.
