India has been an incredible discovery and I can't believe it has taken us so long to get around to visiting. It does have its niggles, the horns, the dirt, the begging to name but a few- but the pluses far outweigh the negatives.
The weather is glorious, the people are ever so friendly, the scenery is memory-etching and the food is still one of the best in the world. Particularly the vegetarian food; I could easily turn to the Dark side if I had this available to me all the time- and I never thought I would ever admit that.
However, my fondest memory will be of the adventures we had on the Indian trains, from 19 hour sleeper rides with shared couchette to comfortable recliners with A/C for a mere 8 hours. The only way to travel in this land of marvels.
