Why are people adding this "slogan" to their sentences?
I assume this utterly banal, redundant and useless addendum is intended to make the person using the phrase look smarter than they actually are. Not so. It unequivocally shows the opposite and makes them look wholly ridiculous.
I'd put it in the same bracket as "do you know what I mean" and "to be honest". Wholly unnecessary, common and lacking in imagination.
