Jubilee Weekend = 4

Downing Street is hoping to build on the "feelgood factor" created when Britons were given the day off work celebrate last month's Royal wedding by handing them a four day break to mark the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next year.

Dubbed the Jubilee Weekend, it will stretch from Saturday, 2nd June, until Tuesday, 5th June, and has been made possible by delaying next year's Whitsun Bank Holiday, which is usually in late May, until Monday, 4th June, and adding another Bank Holiday on Tuesday.

Buckingham Palace and Downing Street are expected to announce the plans to mark the monarch's 60 years on the throne this week.

Why not?  The country is miserable enough as it is and any day off work will be a boost.  Better still, my b-i-l will also benefit this time.  :o)
