Passed Over

X Factor judge Louis Walsh has gone public with a humiliating rebuke for recently-fired Cheryl Cole by insisting he would have been a mere 100% happy to see her back on the UK show.

With UK line-up now official, and with Cole not having a place on the judges panel this series, Walsh took no time in using his tenuous grasp of mathematics to slam Cole in his own special way.

He told reporters, “Of course I’d have been happy to have Cheryl back, I loved working with her – if she’d been sat next to me I’d have been 100% happy.”

The statement has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with many wondering how long Walsh’s simmering resentment has been boiling under.

Entertainment reporters, “You have to remember this is a man who offered one million percent of his support to Jedward. That’s ten thousand times more support than he offered Cheryl. He must really, really hate her.”

New X Factor shouty people
Though Cheryl Cole has yet to be reached for a statement, sources close to her insist she is devastated by Walsh’s public condemnation of her abilities as a judge.

An unnamed friend told us, “Even people who get knocked out before the final twelve regularly get several hundred percent from Louis, so as you can imagine, this is a real kick in the teeth for Cheryl.”

“Even his standard 110% backing would have been better than this. It’s the first time he’s ever given a backing to someone that is still in the realm of plausible mathematics, and you have to say, it hurts.”

“Right now Cheryl is 50/50 on whether she’ll take another TV role, tough there’s only a 10% chance of that.”
