We had the same stress of importance in Kochi, where the manager almost insisted we have something to eat before we left the hotel. Why is it so many people are brainwashed into thinking that "breakfast is the most important meal of the day"? Says who? Scientists? The same guys who said that an apple a day was essential and now say it buggers up your teeth so don't so many? The same "experts" who advised that beer will kill you then said wine was healthy and then swapped stories as soon as more funding came along? Or that everyone must drink at least 8 litres of water a day? It's all bollocks
It's very simple, you eat when you're hungry and drink when you're thirsty. If something is wrong, your body will soon let you know and we do not need smug, sound bite advice from do-gooders or people (or parents foe that matter) conning a living out of gullible people.
Besides I do take breakfast. I just happen to call it afternoon tea.
