Wifey was invited to go and see a cabaret show in town last night with Barb, who was leaving later that evening. Quite a bit later- her flight was at 03:00, and to kill off some time, they went to the Calypso Cabaret, which was entirely performed by Bangkok's kathoeys. That's ladyboys for those not in the know.
The show was great fun, even if the food wasn't. It was a carvery style set up with scant recognition of vegetarians and wifey ended up with little choice aside from a small baked potato and a spoonful of veggies. I'd have been well catered for, however, as they kept arriving with all kinds of roasted meats, which you could help yourself to.
Anyway, the show was very good, made for a change of scenery but the venue's other bar sounded good fun too- they had a Thai Elvis on stage. :o)
