NHL fans were recently left scratching their heads in disbelief, when a shot which looked destined for the goal changed direction at the last minute. Seemingly defying the laws of physics, the shot had looked sure to end up in the back of the net , but out of nowhere the puck appeared to veer off to the right and away from the goal.
I reckon it must be heavy spin causing it to swing away.
