Not only was the bar ever so friendly with a smattering of English from one of the barmen, but once they realised we were settling in for the evening, they brought the TV and satellite decoder outside and showed the entire Newcastle v Aston Villa match live.
Wifey was most chuffed to see her team stuff the Villa by six goals (it ain't only Chelsea who can do it) to nil and a party night ensued. At one point the disco kicked in from inside the building and when we had a look, it was one gadgy on a keyboard and some burd belting out hashed up mixes of Asia does Western karaoke, complete with tinsel and high heels.
The locals loved it and we're going back again to do it proper justice. :o)
