There's no doubt about it, we ar3e right in the middle of local life and people. We haven't even located any kind of supermarket/7-11 and can only buy Diet Coke at one tiny outlet that sells fags individually.
Heading in one direction you'll find all the banks and higher end businesses, selling gold, audio/video equipment and financial services but down the other way, it's all the made to measure suits, the street vendors and plenty of colour and colourful characters.
There is supposedly a large shopping mall nearby (rickshaw ride) which is meant to be the biggest in India and we'll be taking a look later today and we'll also have to book our trip to Mysore as we are due to get there on Saturday. Luckily, there will be no long train trip this time as it's 2-3 hours by bus so we'll hopefully get to see more of the area.
