Muttiah Muralitharan International Cricket Stadium

That's the new name for the new ground near to Kandy.  It used to be called Pallekele International Cricket Stadium and it's where we were hoping to see the match on the 14th March.  However, not if we are being striped to stray in town we won't- we'll spend our tourist cash elsewhere and watch the game on TV in an air conditioned bar.

The stadium has been renamed as the Muttiah Muralitharan International Cricket Stadium. In July 2010, The Central Provincial Council in Kandy unanimously made the renaming decision to honor the legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan.[1] The stadium was declared opened on November 27, 2009.[2]
