Feelgood Factor?

Feel inspired and awesome factor, more like.  We've seen The Blind Side before but when it comes up on a limited movie channel it's criminal not to watch it again and so we settles in last night to watch this true tale unfold once more.

Based on the true story of Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy who take in a homeless teenage African-American, Michael "Big Mike" Oher. Michael has no idea who his father is and his mother is a drug addict. Michael has had little formal education and few skills to help him learn. Leigh Anne soon takes charge however, as is her nature, ensuring that the young man has every opportunity to succeed. When he expresses an interest in football, she goes all out to help him, including giving the coach a few ideas on how best to use Michael's skills. They not only provide him with a loving home, but hire a tutor to help him improve his grades to the point where he would qualify for an NCAA Division I athletic scholarship. Michael Oher was the first-round pick of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2009 NFL draft.  (Taken from IMDb)

I still am not sure about the rol of the woman at the end who interrogates Mike as to his choice of university (?) as i don't understand what business it is of hers/the organisation she represents (personally I'd have told her to piss off sharpish) but aside from that, this really is worth a watch after a crap day in the office.  It's heartening to know such good people do exist in this ugly world and Sandra Bullock does a great job as the mother.  However, the star of the show was SJ, played by Jae Head- not bad for a little fellah at all.

ktelontour recommended.
