Bad Losers

Britain's pupils are bad losers, with many parents admitting that their kids react ungraciously when they come off second best in sports activities.  Two  thirds of parents of said their kids took losing badly but those questioned said parents also exhibited poor manners while watching their children.  Behaviour includes swearing at referees and making fun of the opposition.
British people have a reputation abroad for being good sports, but the survey has thrown that notion into doubt.  Crying, sulking and "getting angry with themselves", it turns out, are common reactions to losing among children, according to parents.

Meanwhile, the kids themselves revealed they'd seen teammates "storming off", "shouting" and "swearing" when they'd lost.  One child describes how "after I beat somebody, they kicked the wall of the squash court and broke two of their toes", while another recalls a team mate who "if he loses, he starts swearing loudly, then runs away and locks himself in the toilets".

Sounds just like Rooney...
