Last Christmas we introduced Khun Saeri to the "delights" of a traditional English dinner. Quite frankly it was awful; expensive, cold and far too much quantity making up for a lack of quality (a bit like our Blog). However, the Xmas pud was quite edible, even if the custard wasn't (lumpy, clammy and anaemic) but he duly sliced a piece off to let wifey try it and by all accounts, she enjoyed her first taste.
Yesterday we were in Central Food Hall and it's one of the posher affairs that stocks Waitrose goods. Would you believe they had a 454lb "Matthew Walker" Christmas pudding on sale from THB 499 to just 100 Baht? Not only that but they even had Birds custard powder on offer at half price for THB 60.
I'm sure Mrs S is going to enjoy her surprise...
