They're always thinking of new reasons to have sale here. Never mind the run of the mill "New Year", "Christmas" or "Easter" sales, we've seen plenty more ingenious reasons to relieve the bemused tourist of their Baht.
This time we had the "five day summer sale- midnight madness" which started on Wednesday and finishes today at midnight. And yes, some of the larger chains did/do indeed close at midnight after being open from their usual 10:00 kick off.
I wonder if the sales staff get paid extra?
