And so having had the drinks, we move onto the scoff. Naturally we have to mention Marmite, the food of Gods, travellers and people with taste, but red Peperamis have to get a mention, even if only to thank my s-i-l for always bringing me some over, every time we meet up (even of she hides them in her hubby's case).
And Edam. I've always favoured the strongest cheddar one can find but lately my taste has leaned towards the more mellow flavours of this Dutch cheese- and that it is cheaper too. Which just leaves the best soup (ever) in the world, tom yum goong. Firey, hot, spicy, savoury- Thailand's national dish is head and shoulders above any other kind of soup. OK, it's not for the faint hearted but once hooked, you will never look back. It rocks.
