One Way Ticket

A New York cabbie recently picked up a fare of his life, after an investment banker and his friend asked him to drive them from New York Los Angeles.  The pair approached the taxi driver at LaGuardia Airport and asked him to drive them 2 448 miles to LA, California, on the west coast of America.

The journey took six days and saw the chap earn $5 000 (~£3 000) for his troubles, and to help pay for the trip, they stopped off at a casino at Las Vegas, where they managed to win $2 000 in a casino.

Travelling from New York to California would have allowed the men to take in the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah and Nevada.
