Having clearly left the sign on the door knob, I found it strange to return to our room and find Housekeeping in full swing and changing our bed linen. Seeing as we were only staying the two nights, this was wholly unnecessary but more so, completely against our request for privacy.
As mentioned, after the blow out curry and not having had the best of night's kip previously, we fancied a snooze and once more left our notice on the door- do not disturb.
Imagine our delight when, having just nodded off we heard a loud braying on the door, some muffled shouting and the key being put into our lock? Quite curtly we called out to our would be unwanted guest to please go away and that seemed to do the trick- but it was too late. Wide awake and no chance of catching 40 winks, the moment was lost.
Turns out it was someone from Housekeeping returning our laundry- which they hung up on coat hangers off the door knob anyway. What was the point in knocking then?
