No one seems to worry too much at the odd indiscretion. We now rarely bother to put all "liquids" into sealy bags or take out or laptop to be X-rayed separately. Nor do they seem to mind, as we don't get pulled up/ Even a larger than permitted toothpaste (200 ml) which was still a third good was allowed through.
I'm certain they do a fine job but the Thais also approach the subject of "terrorism" with a touch more common sense, which is exactly what that gadgy from British Airways was saying*. Why indeed are we cow-tailing to the Americans and their security requirements when they don't do the same for internal flights?
Keep it sensible and all should be well.
