As with most parts of Asia, Myanmar also gets its fair share of the wet stuff and last night it hammered it down. The whole room was illuminated with lightning flashes and the grumble of thunder could have woken the dead- which it did; I was sparko.
The rain was relentless and must have lasted several hours non-stop, yet this morning all is bone dry with brilliant sunshine. The only minor signs that we had a storm is that a couple of roads are still flooded but the water levels are gradualy subsiding and should be passable in a couple of hours.
